A fresh new look for an established brand.
Working with a small team at Saatchi & Saatchi, I helped to redesign the interior of Walmart stores. While involved with elements storewide, I was leading the overall look and feel of the Fresh section, meaning the produce, deli, meats and seafood areas. We wanted to bring a more authentic and considered approach to the food shopping experience bringing to light the true quality of the food. It is hard to thing of freshness when shopping for food in a big box store so we began bringing in elements from a local farmers market to help the customers relate the idea of quality back to the food. This entailed creating everything from custom type faces for price tags and labels, to selecting paint colors for back walls, deciding on material finishes at specific touch points, and directing photography styles for large scale photos around the perimeter of the store.
